Jobs on Monday: Creative practitioner opportunities

Weve just heard about two new exciting Creative Practitioner opportunities in Warwickshire and Solihull.

Both Solhulls St John the Baptist RC Primary School and Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Infant School in Nuneaton, Warwickshire are looking for people to help them become part of the Creative Partnership Enquiry Schools programme (Cre8us).

The programme hopes to discover new creative ways of helping children learn. Two new jobs have sprung out of this new programme in these schools find details below.

  • Creative Practitioner, Solihull

St John the Baptist RC Primary School is looking for someone to use creative experiences and opportunities to help motivate children with their imaginative writing.

The school has found young boys tend to switch off to creative writing and develop negative attitudes to literacy at a young age. The Creative Pracititioner would come up with new ways to engage children, and their parents, in the curriculum. Youll need experience working in schools and be available for the spring term. The deadline for this application is Monday 16 November. Go to the cre8us website for more details, or contact the cre8us agent Louise Bardgett by email on louise.bardgett@hotmail.com.

  • Creative Practitioner, Warwickshire

In Nuneaton they are also looking for a creative practitioner but this time to get young people engaged with maths and problem solving. At Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Infant School they will need a practitioner to work with reception children to work one or two days a week in January- March 2010.

The deadline for this application is Thursday 10 December. Visit the cre8us website for more details, or contact the Cre8us agent Louise Bardgett by email on louise.bardgett@hotmail.com.
