DNA on Got To Dance

Telford and Wolverhampton-based hip hop dance crew DNA appeared on Sky 1s dance competition Got To Dance, hosted by Davina McCall no less. You can see a video of their audition performance right here and the crew were also featured in a sneak peak video for the show here.

DNA member Tanita Guthrie, had this to say about the experience:

Being involved inGot To Dance hasgiven us the opportunity to show the judges and the public how hard dancers work to make their performances memorable and unique. Dee has always strived to make ourperformancesexcitingto watch and shealways wantspeople to remember something if not all of what we do.

And heres what Sky 1 has to say about DNA:

DNA are Tanita (19), James (18) Ashleigh (19), Jodan (18), Kirstem (18), Natalie (17), Gabrielle (17) and Chanelle (16). This sexy group competes internationally and has recently returned from a competition in Las Vegas.

The group was started by Dee Athena when she started a dance school and she is still their main choreographer. The group line-up is always changing so that everyone in her school gets a chance to compete.

It also says that if they win Got To Dance, DNA want to give some of the 100,000 prize to the school and give something back to the local community who have supported them, which is a nice touch.

Got To Dance is aired on Sky1 and Sky1 HD on Sundays from January 3rd.
