TooMortalis a new work byShobanaJeyasingh Dance Companywhich will be performed in a free event at St Swithuns Church, Worcester on 19-21 July, as part of atour that takes in Venice, London and Stockholm.
Dancefest, the dance development organisation for Herefordshire andWorcestershire, has been chosen to host a performance by ShobanaJeyasingh Dance Company as part of the London 2012 Festival.
This is a unique chance for people in the region to experience an internationally acclaimed dancecompany performing in the historic location of St Swithuns, the disused church which is caredfor by The Churches Conservation Trust. In the performance, dancers will move in, over andaround the beautiful building, drawing on influences including ballet and the classical Indian danceBharatanatyam.
The performance forms part of the London 2012 Festival, a spectacular 12-week nationwidecelebration running from 21 June until 9 September 2012. The London 2012 Festival is bringingtogether leading artists from across the world with the very best from the UK in celebration of theLondon 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
